Mane is a major doubt due to a deep cut on his foot, while Gomez broke his leg after a heavy tackle against Bournemouth midweek.

Lovren and Clyne remain long-term absentees, meaning Trent Alexander-Arnold and Joel Matip can be expected to start.

Meanwhile, Andrew Robertson is set to return having missed the 3-1 win at Burnley on Wednesday – along with Georginio Wijnaldum.

Klopp explained: “Gini is fine. Robbo played pretty much most of the games, in a very intense position. That’s why we decided to give him eight hours off. He is fine.”

Klopp is thrilled with his side this season, saying: “So far we showed consistency, which is the most important thing.”

The Reds sit second in the Premier League, just two points adrift of leaders Manchester City.

Meanwhile, Bournemouth will be without Lewis Cook who faces nine months out after rupturing his ACL against Huddersfield on Tuesday.

Dan Gosling is also out with a knee injury for the game at the Vitality Stadium.
