NEYMAR is trying to remain the darling of PSG by convincing Paul Pogba to join from Manchester United and improving his media profile, according to reports in France.

Kylian Mbappe has raced to the top of the popularity polls since his rapid emergence and World Cup win, this month he is even on the front of Time magazine.

Brazil star Neymar, however, ended up a figure of fun after the Russia tournament after a string of his dives went viral and Goal.com think it’s had an effect.

Last season the 26-year-old threw his weight and world record transfer fee around in a row with Edinson Cavani but he has been far better behaved this campaign.

Urging 25-year-old Pogba to swap Salford for Paris would have impressed the Qatari bosses at PSG and an increase in media appearances have helped sell the brand.

Last season the striker avoided journalists like long-studded defenders but now he’s effusive on his time at the club in press conferences and media mix zones, where players and reporters can mingle.
