Eden Hazard confirms he wants to go to Real Madrid to win Ballon d’Or – but not in January
EDEN HAZARD admits he must move to Spain to win the Ballon d’Or.
The Chelsea star ruled out making a dream move to Real Madrid in January.
Yet, asked if playing in La Liga would boost his chances of being crowned the world’s best player, Hazard said: “Yes, that is why I want to go and play there, maybe!
“But not in January.”
Hazard’s £200,000-a-week contract runs until summer 2020 and Chelsea want him to sign a new £300k-a-week deal.
Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi have won five Ballon d’Or awards since 2008 — nine while at Spanish clubs.
