TOTTENHAM were originally set to open their new stadium tomorrow against Liverpool… but the latest pictures show just how far off they really are.

What is finished of the 62,000-seater stadium does look incredible, but the club are still way behind deadline.

The football pitch is yet to be laid, despite the NFL turf being ready for action.

Meanwhile the seating is not completely in place at present, with the exterior in desperate need of a clear-up, currently looking like the building site it is.

Earlier this week it was revealed Tottenham are shelling out close to £4million-a-week to pay its workforce on the new stadium.

The club nabbed hundreds of former Crossrail contractors too – paying them £400 per day in order to have the stadium ready as soon as possible.

The new ground has already cost Spurs a whopping £850m, with that figure seemingly rising by the week.

At present, it’s estimated there are around 3,800 staff currently working on the ground.

Tottenham are still hopeful they will have the stadium ready this year – aiming for the big game with London rivals Chelsea on November 24.

But for now they are stuck with Wembley – which will play host to Liverpool on Saturday lunch-time.
